Poor Alex

Alex hit his lip on the corner of a drawer and made it bleed.. :(  He's okay  now, but I have a feeling, boys get lots of cuts and bruises.  

Other news.

We walked again this morning.  Feels good to get out there and get moving.  But for whatever reason, these last 3 weeks have produced zero results.. Last time I was at the Dr. they checked my thyroid and  it was double it's size. I'm seriously wondering if that's my problem..  Stupid body,  stupid weight, stupid 30's!!!  

Shoes!!!

All I want in  this world at the moment is to have some short (mid calf) black boots that will look cute with jeans and not get my feet wet.. It started the day of papa's funeral.. I went to 3 different stores in Bak. and found nothing. Gave up. Drove through  Filmore and thought, I'll stop to see if they have something. Ah Ha.. Got some boots.. then was miserable alllllll day.. They were too big..  So, going back though town the next day I returned them. Yeah. but still no boots.  So yesterday, I'm in Palmdale with my mom and find some at Shoe Pavillion.  I buy them, even though they are too tall. 3 inch hills.. I'm a flat kindof girl..  By the end of 2 hours I'm dying..  So, today, I take them back to Shoe Pavillion (here in Baks) and she says, go ahead a find something else and we'll do an exchange.. Yeah.. and then I find the PERFECT boots. 2 inch, black, zip, mid calf..  New guy at the counter says, "we can't exchange these, they've been worn".. Yes, I wore them and they hurt.. I say, "what am I supposed to do with them?" He says, "WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO WITH THEM?"  Asshole!!  So, I now have a pair of boots I can ware and a pair that I can't..  Anyone need a pair of boots size 9 with a 3 inch hill? Maybe I'll try eBay.  I HATE returning things......  

Alex & Mommy

Well, we are both sick.. I feel terrible that Alex coughed all through the night. I don't know what to do other than the humidifier and Citricept that I got from dad. It seemed to make me feel better.  It's heart wrenching to know that your baby can't sleep.  

My mom-in-laws blog spoke of being grateful for good heath. I am also. Even with these colds, things could  be terribly worse. Like the little girl who (on extreme homemakeovers) can't control her body temp. and has to live in an environment of less than 62 degrees (along with her whole family) or she will over heat and die. Or the other little girl who feels no pain. No when she touches something hot, can't feel the urge to pee, or to the extent of scratching her own eyes out. Everyday, I thank God that we had a health baby. A 9.8 lb. healthy baby with possible diabetes, but he turned out fine and was able to control his own blood sugar from the very beginning.  Scary times.  

For today, Alex is at the sitters and I will concentrate  on getting new galleries on my photography website. This will make Chris happy and hopefully promote new business for us. We have to look at the positive and move forward... and count our blessings..  Like Alex and Emma turning ONE..

We took Alex out for his 1st birthday dinner.. So cute.. Not only did they sing to him, but they got the attention of the entire restaurant and they also sang.. He was a little scared at first, but when we blew out that candle and he saw the cake, his whole attitude changed..  Thanks Frugatti's!

Happy 1st Birthday Alex!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful baby.. You came into this world today one year ago at 9:25 this morning and it's been an amazing adventure ever since. Thanks to God for giving us Alex. Here you are then and now.

Ha! I have finally caught up with my family and gotten my very own BLOG!!!   Chris thinks its funny that I think I don't have a blog.. cause in reality I do have a blog, but it's my work blog.. not my personal blog, where I can vent and cry and tell funny stories about Alex (my beautiful boy). Well, now I can do all those things...  Yeah for me! Watch out world.. here I come.
